Gum-Drp Studios is a way for me to break into the world of screen-printing and keeping a business going. But also a way of presenting the ideas i have for this project.
The World of Gum-Drp portrays the idea of giving common sweets character and personality. The ideas can range from small sentient gumdrops showcasing their feelings on their sleeves, to girls wearing out of this world clothing while subtly showing what candy they prefer.
the ideas are expressed through bubbly character designs, standing infront of expressive and in your face graphics made to replicate what is seen in the back of packaging for food items. heavy emphasis on distressed and worn out aesthetics that come from old school adverts.
